Game started, proper diary and all that good stufffffff.

Effectively, my plan at the moment is to be Lady Tremaine's Gretel whilst I slowly, over the next couple rounds, because I'm lazy, really just because I'm lazy, OMG commas I missed you so much, comma, comma, comma, and Oxford comma. Oxford commas are the best things ever. Anyway... yeah, so, that and slowly try to wiggle in with Woody, Boo, and idfk, maybe others. But Lady Tremaine seems... clever. I'll say that. Clever can be good or bad. I like it either way, of course.

Alright, so... apparently I would've won HOH. I have no clue how fast Pocahontas sent or whether or not I would've won the POV if I wasn't wondering which of my 10 were wrong for a good 10-15 minutes (ugh/lolz), but it apparently doesn't matter, anyway. Whether Woody trusts me or feels any loyalty to me or not, it doesn't matter; I'm helpful. Still need to respond to some PMs... which wears me down (especially amidst the current IMDb drama that dare not speak its name), so... later.

I guess opening a board with someone is a ritualistic display of trust, right? You open a board with each other, draw outlines of animals on the cave wall, grunt a lot, wash each others' feet... and BAM, TRUST! Maybe I should do that. Let's work on responding to PMs first, though.

I admit, I'm getting invested... maybe. We'll see.

I think I might have an idea who Woody is, but I don't want to keep guessing because I'm inevitably gonna look back on this and feel like an idiot if I'm always wrong. But if I'm right... *word Gretmel doesn't like*!

Kaa and Gaston both messaged me. At first, I was going to vote Gaston because he ("he"?) just hadn't messaged me. But then Gaston messaged me in a far more thought-out way than Kaa did, and seems to be gaining favor in general, and whatwith being nominated twice now is probably good to keep around (if anyone doesn't know who to nominate, Gaston is suddenly a great choice).

That said, like... PMs. Ugh. Whatever, it's the game. Tonight, before the challenge, I plan to PM a couple people I haven't talked with yet. Just to slowly try to build that buffer. I think I have 7 down so far? Ugh, so many people. At this point, I don't necessarily need to talk to EVERYONE, just a majority so I have some info/connections from different directions, at least somehow connected to even those I haven't talked to. A couple more will give me that majority. Ugh again.

Why I bothered with the POV at all should start to seem apparent now, btw. The two people I have rooms with/talk to the most being the 2 people who nominated Gaston, meanwhile I'm started talking to Gaston a lot since the last nomination... heh.

btw, I'm going to be asking for a board with Gaston soon... after he makes the nominations, though. Not yet. Don't want to look like I'm being too pushy and trying to influence him too much. Start thinking of a witty title for it now!

So, now I wish I hadn't won POV. Lolz. I think I have it sorted out well enough, though. I got Gaston to say it's alright, while leaving the decision up to him. Whether he was all for that or it was reluctant, I don't know. But nothing so damaging. It's not a big deal, really.

Basically, I wanted to save Woody (for some stupid reason, given my suspicions), but wanted to make sure it was alright with Gaston first. Realistically, I'd rather work with Gaston than with Woody, but me leaving someone hanging isn't cool. Woody was the first person to talk to me, the first person to keep me safe without me having to ask or offer anything... so it would make me a raging Melanie (see what I did there? <3) to not save him. So, let's see what happens next.

Nat, I'm all for an interview. I post in this stupid Diary thing anyway, so I probably wasn't your target audience for that. But I'm way too curious to not see what the interview questions would be...

Pretty sure I know who Gaston is, too, and he's someone I've worked with before and liked (this vague statement gives me plausible deniability if I'm wrong, so I don't feel like such an idiot).

Funny enough, Lady Tremaine conveys the strongest personality in her posts, but somehow that makes her more of an enigma to me.

I'm actually fine with the decision to save Woody (God help me...). It's created some ripples, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Helps me figure out my footing once I see how this round plays out, and especially if I can figure something out next round. Stops me from floating along and gives the possibility to find something more stable, which I kind of need if I'm actually gonna be invested in this game (though Sam and Tara sucking in the Genius makes that pretty easy for now). btw, Nat - I asked Mas to open up the full board for you and Mets. I'm curious to see what you guys would blog if you're able to ready everything. Hopefully he does.

That said, I do have some damage control to do, and I did it knowing that I don't expect Woody to be a close ally throughout the game. However, it does make people have to work with me more closely, for better or worse. We'll see...

This game is screwing me up. I was just texting a friend, and she was like, "why the poop aren't you using commas?"

Anyway, all seems well enough. Gaston and I seem more solid than before, I've gotten to talk to most everyone in the game... Woody terrifies me (respect, Woody). I hope I'm not the one who gets Woodied. There was a really good dirty joke there, but I refrained for YOU, Gretmel. Also, I listened to the Hilary Duff song and actually remembered it from back in the day.

Lady has info from Gaston every round, Gaston says he never hears from Lady. Interesting. Told Scott Calvin I'd vote to save him but he also kind of asked for a definitive answer. Told Woody I was voting Hopper. Lady and Gaston probably aren't gonna say anything because it would out what's happening there. If anyone says anything, it'll be Woody saying I voted Hopper, and gaston already knows I told someone I was voting Hopper. So assuming this vote is reasonably split, it shouldn't blow up on me. But we'll see. I'm voting Scott Calvin because he's active but his interaction with me is minimal and I have no clue where he stands (but presumably more active for others), whereas Hopper - though mostly inactive - is an easy target to nominate should I win (going for HOH next btw).

So, Scott will be my replacement if Elsa uses the POV (but I have a hunch she's in bed right now...).

I'm really not sure whether or not Boo is Pete (he'd be in bed right now, too... stupid non-Americans). Pete is pooping awesome, and I love working with him. So I felt bad about that, but... we work together in so many games, may as well be at odds once, right? But Elsa, if she is who I think she is, will use the POV for someone (I hope for Boo). And she was messaging me during the challenge (pretty sure she knows who I am but I'm trying hard to pretend I don't suspect who she is... and I could be wrong - but if I'm right, she's someone I know well and trust, PROVIDED she doesn't think I know who she is)/I had a feeling she won the POV based on what she said.

Scott is the person I've talked to the 3rd least, so my justification holds. Sort of a clumsy backdoor attempt relying on way too many variables, but we'll see if it works. Also gives incentive for people to talk to me.

I'm still curious about Lady Tremaine and Gaston thing. Lady Tremaine is suddenly against Gaston now. Not sure if that's genuine or a lie. Interesting, though.

All of the Google results showed 10 Cloverfield Lane, and I've never seen any of those movies. Gaston did it faster than me, anyway. I was actually more worried about the "5th" whatever one. I hadn't gotten to that and didn't look it up on IMDb until after submitting. So I didn't expect to win, anyway.

And now, ladies and gents, I have targets for the future.
